Country Wedding in Santarém | Joana + Francisco
Yellow. Lemons. Samba. And enough joy to power the entire Portuguese countryside.
Joana and Francisco's wedding wasn't just elegant—it was a full-on celebration that perfectly captured who they are. Set in a gorgeous country house garden in Santarém, their day was basically sunshine in wedding form.
Mediterranean Vibes Meet Brazilian Energy
The Plant Designer absolutely killed it with the decor. We're talking bright yellow flowers, fresh lemons as centerpieces, and olive leaves everywhere. It felt like you'd stepped into the most beautiful Mediterranean dream, but with a Brazilian twist waiting around the corner.
And that twist? A rodinha de Samba during cocktail hour. Because what's a Brazilian wedding without Samba, right? Guests went from sipping drinks to full-on dancing in about 30 seconds. O Bem Disposto kept everyone fed and happy with incredible food, and honestly, the energy never dropped.
Golden Hour Magic
As the sun set over the countryside, we snuck away for some couple portraits. Those stolen moments—the quiet laughs, the way they looked at each other when no one else was watching— as a documentary wedding photographer, that's the stuff I live for.
Joana and Francisco's wedding was exactly what it should be: bright, joyful, and completely them. If you're planning something similar in central Portugal, let's chat.
