Rustic Wedding in Alentejo, Portugal | Laura + Tiago

If you've ever wanted to get married in a place that feels like it's been untouched for centuries, the Alentejo is your spot. Laura and Tiago's wedding was basically a love letter to the Portuguese countryside.

Igreja de São Francisco: Where History Gets Real

The day started in Évora at the Igreja de São Francisco—this massive, dramatic church with soaring arches that make you feel tiny (in a good way). When Laura walked down that aisle, the scale of the space made every moment feel cinematic. Like, you couldn't script a more epic "I do" if you tried.

Golden Hour at Lodge Monte do Sobral

Then we headed to Lodge Monte do Sobral near Viana do Alentejo, which is basically a farm in the middle of nowhere—cork trees, endless plains, and that Alentejo light that turns everything gold. We caught sunset portraits as the sun dipped below the horizon, and honestly? Pure magic.

This is what I love about documentary wedding photography out here. You don't have to force anything. The landscape does half the work.

Dinner Under the Stars

The reception was an outdoor dream. Imagine hundreds of candles flickering on long tables, string lights crisscrossing overhead, and the whole thing happening under a massive sky full of stars. Guests ate, drank, and toasted to love while surrounded by the wild beauty of the Alentejo plains.

It felt timeless. It felt right.
