"Pipa and Miguel's wedding had a very special touch for me: practically my entire family was there. Capturing a day as meaningful as my cousin Pipa's wedding, surrounded by the people we love most, was 'gold on blue.'

Personal Touches & Vintage Charm

The day was filled with beautiful, nostalgic details that made for incredible documentary wedding photography. A standout was the presence of the bride's father's car—a stunning Fiat 124 Spider from the 70s. This vintage Italian flair added a timeless aesthetic to the portraits.

One of the most moving moments was the wine box ceremony. Pipa and Miguel placed their handwritten vows into a box with a bottle of wine from Madeira, Miguel's homeland—a beautiful nod to his roots and their future together.

Rainy Day Magic at Quinta do Vale

We celebrated at the lovely Quinta do Vale in Lisbon. During the ceremony, a light 'wet rain' began to fall. While some might worry about the weather, as a photographer, I know that rain can create some of the most romantic and luminous photographs. The soft, diffused light and the atmospheric mood made their exchange of vows even more cinematic.

Family, Laughter, and Near-Misses

The day was a true family affair, from my mother’s birthday celebration 🫶 to the sweet drawing of their dog, Piruças, made by Pipa's niece, Carolina. We even had a moment of 'action' when Pipa almost ran over one of my cameras while repositioning the Fiat for photos! 😅 These are the unscripted, joyful memories that make a wedding day truly unique.
