Beach Engagement Photoshoot in Baleal | Filipa + Marco

Filipa and Marco’s engagement shoot was one of those days that felt like a cozy adventure—cloudy skies, salty air, and just the right amount of wind to make everything feel alive.

Snails, Beers, and Seaside Vibes

We kicked things off the best way possible: with a plate of snails (caracóis, of course) and a couple of cold beers on a seaside esplanade. The view was all ocean blues and soft grey skies, the kind of scene that makes you slow down and just breathe it all in. As a documentary engagement photographer, I love starting sessions this way—it breaks the ice and captures the true "date night" essence of a couple.

The Baleal Peninsula: White Walls & Wild Cliffs

Our first stop was the charming Baleal Peninsula, a narrow stretch of land dotted with whitewashed holiday homes and rocky paths. Filipa wore a relaxed white dress and her trusty Birkenstocks, while Marco kept it cool in a blue shirt and Old Skool Vans. This 'low-key stylish' look is perfect for the raw, Atlantic scenery of the Silver Coast.

As we wandered to the edge of the peninsula, the scenery shifted to raw cliffs and wild waves. The overcast clouds provided a soft, moody light that made every shot feel cinematic and intimate, avoiding the harsh shadows of midday sun.

Dusk at Praia d’El Rey

Before sunset, we made our way to Praia d’El Rey, a quiet, untouched beach where cliffs rise on one side and the Atlantic stretches out on the other. The beach was practically ours, and the light filtered through the clouds in the most beautiful way. Shoes were off, feet were in the sand, and they just soaked it all in—laughing, running, and being completely themselves.

Capturing the Coastal Magic

This shoot had all the good stuff: coastal vibes, real connection, and the kind of weather that wraps around you like a blanket. Filipa and Marco brought the warmth, and the cloudy skies brought the mood.

If you are looking for an engagement photoshoot in Baleal or Peniche and want to embrace the wild, moody beauty of the Portuguese coast, I would love to join your adventure. Whether we start with beers or head straight to the cliffs, let’s capture your story authentically. Reach out via my contact page to check my 2026 availability.
