Lollipops & Laughter: A Morning in the Park
This particular session was full of love, laughter, and a touch of sweet bribery! I had the pleasure of photographing a wonderful mother and her three children—two energetic kids and their adorable baby sibling. From the start, the older kids were buzzing with excitement, fueled by the lollipops their mother had wisely packed. As a documentary family photographer, I find that these playful, candid moments make for the most natural and heartwarming images.
The Serenity of Jardim da Estrela
Despite the high energy of the older children, their baby sibling remained calm and content, gazing around with big, curious eyes. We explored the unique corners of the park, taking advantage of the historic iron gazebo, the peaceful duck ponds, and the lush greenery that makes Jardim da Estrela so unique. Watching the kids play hide-and-seek behind the massive banyan trees was a highlight of the morning.
Adventure at the Rope Pyramid
As the session came to a close, we headed toward the famous rope pyramid playground. The two older children found a final burst of energy, climbing to the top and striking playful poses while I snapped the final shots. It was the perfect way to end—full of adventure and the kind of childhood moments that families cherish forever.
Jardim da Estrela provided the perfect backdrop, but it was the authentic connection between this mother and her children that truly made the session special.
