Mata dos Medos & Praia da Fonte da Telha Engagement Session | Catarina + Zé
Some love stories start with a spark, but Catarina and Zé’s started with a ceiling. Ten years ago at university, Zé lived exactly one floor above Catarina—a setup that led to her complaining to him about the noise. Fast forward through a decade of growth, moving houses, and a chance re-encounter, and these two are exactly where they belong.
They describe themselves as a mix of very goofy and deeply romantic, which is honestly a dream combination to photograph. No rigid scripting or forced poses— just them being exactly who they are.
The Woods and the Sand. We kicked off the session walking through the towering pine trees, wooden walkways, and natural sand corridors of Mata dos Medos. It was the perfect backdrop for a relaxed walk and plenty of laughs.
Low Tide at Sunset. As the light began to dip, we chased it down to Praia da Fonte da Telha. A lucky low tide gave us an endless, massive stretch of wet sand that acted like a giant mirror, reflecting the golden hour sky.
Next Stop: Nazaré. This coastal afternoon was just the warmup. In exactly one week, they’re heading to Quinta do Pinheiro to finally make it official.
